Start the day right with a nourishing CEO Networking Breakfast with fellow CEOs from across Canada. 

8:45AM - Opening Remarks & Good News

CCI President Benjamin Bergen will kick off the day with an exciting welcome and the opportunity for you to share with everyone in the room a recent win for your company. 


David Rozin, Vice President & Head of Roynat/Scotiabank's Technology & Innovation Banking group, will also set the stage for the day's agenda. 

9:00AM - Innovation Economy Forecast

Get ready to receive your annual update from Jim Balsillie, Chair of the Council of Canadian Innovators and retired Chairman and co-CEO of BlackBerry, on the current state of Canada’s innovation economy in a global context.

9:15AM - State of the Canadian Economy, Markets, and Deal Flow

Leading economists from Roynat Capital and Scotiabank will provide insights on the current macroeconomic environment, the state of public and private markets as they pertain to tech, and perspectives from an advisor at the forefront of negotiating private placements.

9:45AM - CEO Reflections

Reflections on the morning's presentations from CPA Ontario President & CEO Carol Wilding.

9:50AM - Fireside Chat + CEO Q&A

In conversation with Natalie Raffoul, Managing Partner of Brion Raffoul LLP, Jim Balsillie, Carol Wilding, and Scotiabank's economists discuss the findings of their reports, and participate in an interactive Q&A with CEOs in the room.

10:30AM - Steering Resilient Companies through Economic Uncertainty

Join leading Canadian innovators as they share their strategies for global success and lessons learned. Special speakers, including Lesley Gouldie (CEO of Thornhill Medical), Carl Hansen (CEO of AbCellera), and Frank Baylis (Executive Chairman of Baylis Medical Technologies), will discuss how to adapt to inflation and geopolitical shifts, navigate capital gains tax changes, secure non-dilutive funding through government programs, and prepare for market fluctuations with key macroeconomic insights.

Renowned geopolitics expert Ann Fitz-Gerald from the Balsillie School of International Affairs will lead a fireside chat with U.S. Ambassador David L. Cohen. They’ll discuss the current state of U.S.-Canada trade relations, key American policy developments, and how these shifts impact high-growth Canadian businesses. The conversation will also explore how scaling technology CEOs can best position their companies to navigate this evolving landscape.

2:15PM - Adopting AI and Leveraging Advanced Technologies for Global Growth

Join industry leaders as they discuss adopting AI and advanced technologies for global growth. Panelists include Hamid Arabzadeh (Chairman and CEO of RANOVUS), Andrew McLeod (CEO of Certn), and Craig McLellan (CEO of ThinkOn). They will share insights on integrating AI into workflows, leveraging advanced technologies, and ensuring the right safeguards are in place.


The conversation will cover practical AI applications for business growth,  navigating AI regulations, security and privacy considerations for AI, Cloud and 5G technologies in Canada, and preparing for the future with quantum-safe cybersecurity strategies.

Canada's CEO Summit concludes with a special dinner at Le Salon Richmond in Little Burgundy. Please budget either 60 minutes for walking or 20 minutes for transportation to move between Hôtel William Gray and Le Salon Richmond.

At 6:00PM, we open the closed-doors of the CEO Summit, and welcome in an elite group of Canada's top investors for a special investors and innovators dinner and cocktail reception. 

7:00PM - Innovators & Investors Dinner

At 7:00 PM, we will gather for the Innovators & Investors Dinner, a chance to reflect on the day's discussions. CCI President Benjamin Bergen will deliver the State of the Council, outlining current and upcoming priorities for Canadian innovators. Nik Nanos, Chief Data Scientist and Founder of Nanos Research, will present to CEOs and investors his latest polling insights on Canadian impressions of competitiveness and productivity, followed by a special discussion moderated by CCI co-founder John Ruffolo. As per tradition, we will also capture 2025 predictions from those in the audience bold enough to forecast the future!
